about

This song was the one that has taken the longest to complete. It went under many lyric revisions and other musical changes. The introduction was actually created from a singing voice message Rebecca left Ricardo. He listened to the message while choosing tomatoes at the market. You never know where you will find inspiration. Luiz Muniz and Rafael Moreno are back collaborating with Ricardo and Rebecca on this song. This certainly has a classic rock vibe. Take a listen, do you agree?

lyrics

“Echoes of Yesterday”

Many nights I can be found alone in the dark
I’ve built many walls to protect my questionable heart
And I try to forget where I failed and lost
Shielding myself from the pain at all costs

With my eyes closed and senses unmasked ...
Listening for questions never asked ...

Like turning around and seeing the past
Looking ahead knowing it won’t last
Time moves on ... things slip away
I hear the Echoes of Yesterday

Although the scars are not visible anymore
But the pain has always been hard and now I’ve learned
Will I be the same? My mind screams I don’t know
Should I fear cause I’m not sure what I heard

With my eyes closed and senses unmasked ...
Listening for questions never asked ...

Like turning around and seeing the past
Looking ahead knowing it won’t last
Time moves on ... things slip away
I hear the Echoes of Yesterday
